Well, we had a tiring weekend of patching, sanding, and painting the walls in the nursery. It was a trying experience. We were attempting to match a custom paint color the previous owner used. Unfortunately they didn't get the lid on the paint can, so it had separated and molded. Fun! Needless to say, the first attempt went awry and we ended up with a pink/peach on one part of the wall. After a few trips to the paint store, we wound up with "Mellow Yellow"...and a song by Donovan stuck in our heads for the rest of the weekend. Overall it looks very nice. We also replaced some trim work/door frames that our dear dog felt the need to scratch/gnaw on. One of the pieces of our baby furniture was put on backorder. It is supposed to be in on Monday. We are excited...everything seems to be coming together and are waiting to post pics of the nursery until we have the furniture up.
Jen continues to grow and is tiring quite easy these days. The heat doesn't help. It will be quite interesting when August 21st rolls around to see how much of the year she is able to teach. If you'd like to place a wager, please see Jim. We have a doctor's appointment tomorrow and an ultra-sound on Thursday. We are hoping to get some nice sonogram pictures to post. In the meantime, here is a picture of Jen at 28 weeks. Remember Grandma Wilsbacher's saying..."if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all". Take care! Love, Jim & Jen
