Robinson/Wilsbacher Family Shower

On Saturday (07/15/06), the Robinson/Wilsbacher aunts hosted a baby shower for me in Evansville, Indiana. It was a combined shower with my cousin, Amy, who is getting married September 30th. The shower was a celebration of family and life. Unfortunately, there was a tragedy Friday evening. Amy's aunt & uncle were traveling down from Indy for the shower. The weather was bad and a traffic light was out due to the weather. Susan and John were involved in a traffic accident and John was killed. We debated canceling the shower, but Amy wanted to go forward with it. Things were a little bittersweet. Everything was so nice and everyone was way too generous in their giving. Jim & I appreciate it all so much. I will try to post some pictures within the next few days.

Grandpa Ron came over on Sunday. He and Jim worked on several projects in both the nursery and our basement. They got so much done in the nursery--fan blades switched, blinds & curtains hung, door frame & woodwork down. We have sanded the new woodwork. Now we just need to stain it and hang it up. This weekend we are patching/sanding the walls and then will paint. Grandma Brueshaber did a great job with the valance. Now we can't wait to see the rest of the bedding and how the room will all come together.

The baby continues to grow (as do mommy & daddy). She has really become active in the past week. I felt hiccups for the first time this morning. It was a little eerie to watch my shirt move!! Hard to believe she will be here in less than 3 months!! We can't wait!!
