Third Trimester!

While Jen has had a relatively easy pregnancy this time, the past few weeks she has struggled with kidney stones. She has been under the care of her urologist, but there's not a whole lot they can do for kidney stones during pregnancy (no shock waves to break up stones, surgery, etc.). Basically they are observing her, monitoring things with ultrasounds, and helping manage her pain. Jen has passed two stones in the past two weeks! The doctor's don't know how many or the location of others as they can't do a CT Scan because of the risk of radiation to the baby. So each day we pray for the best and hope it's not full of any surprises. Jen is going to have some tests after she delivers and is still in the hospital. She swears she is having any remaining stones taken care of while she is off this summer.

The baby continues to grow and develop well. Jen's blood pressure, the amniotic fluid levels, and fetal movements are all normal this pregnancy (unlike with Addison). This baby is breech as was his/her big sister! We will be having a repeat c-section in February and can't wait to meet our new little addition. Hard to believe we only have 10 weeks or less until we can hold our little one. Hope you're all feeling as blessed this holiday season!
