RAST Allergy Test Results

Well, we were surprised at the news we got yesterday. They confirmed that Addison is allergic to eggs and egg products, which we knew. The shock was when Dr. Hein said she's also allergic to MILK! Addison has been on Vitamin D milk since October. Some of her favorite foods are yogurt, cheese, ice cream, and cottage cheese. The RAST test is known for false positives, but the doctor really felt that the number was too high to be a false positive. We are eliminating milk from her diet and she is now on soy milk. We go back to the pediatrician in two weeks to discuss things and then will go to a Pediatric Allergist. The good news is that she tested negative for wheat, peanut, and soy allergies.
