Grounded

So, Grandma Marty's saying of "SOMEDAY, I HOPE YOU HAVE A DAUGHTER JUST LIKE YOU!" has come true. We have decided that Baby Brueshaber is a stubborn little thing! She was already going to be grounded for remaining in the breech position and failing to rotate, and then the low amniotic fluid ordeal. Now we have decided that she is grounded until the age of 18...

Yesterday's doctor's appointment started out well. Jen is showing "progress", blood pressure & weight was good. Next was the non-stress test. Baby was cooperative and showed good movement and accurate heart accelerations. Finally came the ultra-sound. Amniotic fluid had dropped 2 cubic centimeters...not the best, but okay. Baby was "practicing breathing", heart and blood flows looked/sounded good, measurements were all good, they estimated her weight at 7 pounds 8 ounces...BUT she showed no fetal movement in 20 minutes. The sonographer seemed concerned, had me move, drink some juice, etc. and the little thing would not wake up. They kept shaking her, but she wouldn't stir. Apparently she was getting a good little snooze in. Gave us all quite a scare and required a lot of lying on my left side and counting kicks yesterday. We go back to the doctor at 12:45 today and will post an update when we can. In the meantime, does anyone have a devil costume in newborn size? We're thinking it might be an appropriate Halloween costume for this little one! :)
