Jen has been on bed rest since her appointment on September 14th. She is starting to get very crabby, but claims you can only watch so much daytime TV, and read so many celebrity gossip magazines. Jim struggles to understand how it always being a weekend could possibly be so bad.
We go to the doctor every Thursday. It usually takes about an hour and a half. They do a bio-physical profile which includes an ultra-sound, fetal non-stress test, and doctor's appointment. The doctor feels that bedrest was/is a good decision as the amniotic fluid level seems to be increasing each week. Jen really misses the kids (and some adults) at school, but knows she has to do what is best for Baby Brueshaber right now.
At our last appointment, they scheduled a c-section for October 16. If we make it that long, the baby will share a birthday with Angela Lansbury, Suzanne Somers, Tim Robbins, Kellie Martin, John Mayer...and most importantly, Pat Alexander! There is still a chance we could go early...so don't fret if you didn't pick the 16th in the Baby Brueshaber pool! Take care & keep in touch. We promise to try and update more frequently.
